Kuleba: Putin is trying to disrupt the Peace Summit in Switzerland by throwing in information about "readiness for negotiations"
According to him, all these are false signals, as Putin is actually afraid that the summit will be successful

Commenting on reports of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's readiness for negotiations and a ceasefire, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the Russian president is simply trying to disrupt the Peace Summit in Switzerland.
"Why are the 'sources' suddenly telling the media that Putin is ready to end the war at the current frontlines? It's simple. Putin is desperately trying to disrupt the Peace Summit in Switzerland on 15-16 June. He is afraid of its success. His entourage is sending false signals of alleged readiness for a ceasefire, despite the fact that Russian troops continue to brutally attack Ukraine, and their missiles and drones are raining down on Ukrainian cities and towns," he wrote on Twitter (X).
According to Kuleba, Putin has no desire to stop his aggression against Ukraine.
"Only the important and united voice of the world majority can make him choose peace over war. This is exactly what the Peace Summit is for. That is why he is so afraid of it. And that is why it is extremely important that as many leaders from all continents and parts of the world as possible attend it," the minister added.
Background. Earlier in the day, Reuters reported, citing five sources close to the Kremlin, that Putin was ready to stop a full-scale war with Ukraine and sign a truce, provided he retains control of the territories he has already conquered.
