Hungary has blocked the transfer of military aid to Ukraine from profits from blocked Russian assets
However, Budapest promises not to veto the decision and will "limit itself to delaying" the vote

Hungary has blocked the European Union's approval of the seizure of profits from Russian assets that were to be used for military aid to Ukraine.
Source. This was reported by the Financial Times, citing sources.
The decision on this should have been made unanimously, but the Hungarian ambassador voted against it at a meeting held on Wednesday.
According to the previous agreement, the EU countries were going to send about €2bn a year for military aid to Ukraine from Russia's €190bn in assets held in a depository in Belgium.
According to the source, the Hungarian side intends to block the allocation of these funds at least until the European Parliament elections in June.
According to people with knowledge of the matter, Hungary is "generally not against" the transfer of funds, but the automatic nature of the transfers worries its representatives. However, Budapest will not veto the decision and will "limit itself to delaying" the upcoming votes, the newspaper writes.
In mid-April, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe approved the transfer of frozen Russian assets to a special fund, from where they will be used to rebuild Ukraine.
All 134 delegates who attended the meeting voted unanimously in favour of this decision. In addition, in the spring of 2024, the European Council approved the European Commission's proposal to use the proceeds from the frozen assets of the Central Bank of Russia to purchase weapons for Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that the Hungarian Foreign Minister blocked the Council of Europe's resolution to recognise only Zelenskyy's peace plan. He said that other countries have developed "no worse" peace plans for Ukraine.
