Syrsky: France to send military instructors to Ukraine
Chief of Defence hopes that France's determination will encourage other partners to join this ambitious project

The French government will send military instructors to Ukraine. This was announced by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi in his telegram channel.
"Together with the Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov, we held a video meeting with the Minister of the Armed Forces of the French Republic Sébastien Lecornu. I welcome the initiative of France to send instructors to Ukraine to train Ukrainian servicemen," said Syrskyi.
According to the Commander-in-Chief, he signed documents allowing French military instructors to be deployed to Ukrainian training centres.
"I have already signed the documents that will allow the first French instructors to visit our training centres and get acquainted with their infrastructure and personnel," he said.
Syrsky expressed his belief that France's determination will encourage other partners to join this ambitious project.
At the end of February, French President Emmanuel Macron was the first Western leader to talk about the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine. Later, he repeated several times that this possibility should not be ruled out.
In early May, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied that French troops had been sent to Ukraine. The thesis was actively spread by Russian propaganda.
