Rutte: Netherlands to send Ukraine radar for Patriot and three launchers
One Patriot battery can include up to eight launchers

Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte has announced that his country will send Ukraine a radar for the Patriot air defence system and three launchers.
On his Twitter account, Rutte said that the Netherlands was "discussing with international partners the supply of the Patriot system to Ukraine" and that his country would participate.
In late May, the Dutch Minister of Defence confirmed that the country would send parts of the Patriot system to Ukraine, but did not specify which parts.
The Patriot battery can include up to eight launchers, as well as radar, a command centre, an antenna-mast machine, and an electric generator. It is noted that this battery can cover one large facility.
In mid-April, after Russia increased the number of its missile attacks on Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure, Germany agreed to provide Ukraine with another Patriot system in addition to the two previously transferred.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has repeatedly told NATO allies that at least seven more Patriot systems are needed to protect Ukrainian cities from Russian missile attacks.
Background. Meanwhile, on the night of Wednesday 12 June, the New York Times reported, citing senior US administration officials, that US President Joe Biden had approved the shipment of another Patriot system to Ukraine.
