Poroshenko leaves Ukraine for Poland on his third try

What happened? On May 30, the fifth President of Ukraine and People's Solidarity MP Petro Poroshenko crossed Ukraine's border with Poland.

Details. Poroshenko left Ukraine for Poland on his third try. Prior to that, he was twice blocked during his attempts to cross the border, allegedly, for a business trip within the Ukrainian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

In the morning, Poroshenko addressed the incumbent President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to assure that the opposition is working with the authorities to strengthen Ukraine. According to the politician, he is going to the congress and summit of the European People's Party in Rotterdam.

Poroshenko's departure was also confirmed by his fellow party members Viktoria Siumar and Oleksiy Honcharenko.

Background. Earlier it was informed that Viktor Medvedchuk testified against Poroshenko. He revealed a scheme of illegal privatization of Samara-Western Direction oil-products pipeline, having said that Petro Poroshenko was involved in that manipulation during his presidency.
