Details. It is noted that the air base is located 500 km from the front line. Il-76 tanker aircraft are deployed there and the 43rd Centre for Combat Employment and Retraining of Flight Personnel and Long-Range Aviation Pilots is located there.
The aggressor side officially reported only about “damage to the hull skin” of two aircraft, the death of three military technicians who were at the airfield, and the injury of four more.
Background. Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the russian air base Dyagilevo and the airport Engels-2. Later, satellite images appeared showing damage to the enemy airbase.
