"Let's take Avdiivka and then negotiate": Russian military are forced to capture the city to "Putin's direct line"

The command ordered to send to the front line even those soldiers who received moderate injuries

The Russian opposition publication Vazhnye Istori (Important Stories) has published fragments of a letter from relatives of mobilized soldiers of the Russian unit 95411, which is currently fighting near Avdiivka.

Source. This was reported by the BBC.

The authors of the letter, which, according to the publication, was signed by more than 100 people, ask Vladimir Putin to deal with the "signs of deliberate extermination" of the Russian military.

The letter says that the mobilized soldiers have been living in trenches near Avdiivka for more than 10 months and are under constant shelling. The relatives also claim that in November, after the Russian army launched an active offensive on Avdiivka, the command ordered to send to the front line even those soldiers who had received moderate injuries.

"On November 25, they issued another decree on the spot that light and medium [wounded] should be treated in the trenches," reads a letter from relatives of the mobilized. "They don't spare the 'dpr' at all: they collect the remains and then go back to the assault."

According to them, the command of the Russian troops is in a hurry to take Avdiivka before Putin's direct line, which is scheduled for December 14.

"They are in a hurry, while Ukrainians are at odds, to drive to Putin's direct line and the New Year. They need some kind of result. Everyone around us says that we will take Avdiivka, and then we will negotiate," Vazhnye Istori quoted the wife of one of the mobilized Russian soldiers as saying.

The publication says that the average age of the soldiers in the Russian assault brigades near Avdiivka is about 40 years old, and most of them have not been on leave since the start of mobilization in the fall of 2022.

Background. As a reminder, in November, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, reported heavy Russian losses near Avdiivka. According to him, the number of enemy casualties in manpower is about 10,000.
