Piraeus Bank in Ukraine is part of the international Piraeus Bank Group. The head office of the group is located in the Greek city of Athens. About 19,000 employees of the Piraeus Bank Group provide financial services and services to 5.6 million customers in eight countries. Its total assets are about 82.2 billion euros, as of late September 2016, the bank's customers’ volume of deposits amounted to 39.3 billion euros. So, Piraeus Bank is the second largest bank in Greece, and Piraeus Bank Group started its work in Ukraine 10 years ago, in the fall of 2007, by acquiring the ICB – International Commercial Bank.

In the summer of 2008, Credit-Rating agency awarded Piraeus Bank a credit rating of the "stable" forecast, according to the national scale uaA, and since March 2009, the financial institution has received the highest deposit reliability rating, rating "5". The regional network of Piraeus Bank branches covers seven oblasts of Ukraine – Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv and Donetsk.
