The Crypto.com Exchange is part of a company founded by Bobby Bao, Kris Marszalek, and Tom Lau. It acquired its current name in 2018, after purchasing the Crypto.com domain (formerly known as Monaco). A year earlier, $27 million was raised through an ICO to develop the project.
The parent company is registered in Singapore, while the exchange itself is in Malta. The exchange offers all standard services for trading crypto assets. The identity verification process is more complex than average.
As of now, the exchange has the highest reliability rating from cer.live – AAA. However, a hacking incident was reported in 2022, but all assets were returned to customers.
Crypto.com pays great attention to media promotion of the project – they bought the naming rights to an arena in Los Angeles, are sponsors of Formula 1, the Football World Championship and other sports projects.
