Details. “The Alliance itself is more of a tool of confrontation. This is not the Alliance that provides peace and stability. Further enlargement of the Alliance will not bring additional security to the European continent”, he said.
Background. Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that if Finland or Sweden want to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, they will be "quickly accepted".
