Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal told CBC News that the embargo on russian gas and oil from the side of Ukrainian international partners would not stop russia's invasion immediately, but would help Ukraine fight the enemy, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“It will not stop the invasion immediately, but it will help us fight an enemy which will become weaker and weaker, and over time russia will not have the funds to finance its crimes and war,” Shmyhal said, commenting on the effectiveness of the russian gas and oil embargo from the side of Ukrainian international partners.
He noted that Ukraine is waiting for a decision on the embargo from European countries.
