Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that he opposed the EU's proposal to ban russian oil, saying it was tantamount to a “nuclear bomb” dropped on his country's economy. He said he would like to receive a five-year exemption from the oil supply ban.
Previously. The EU proposed not to impose a ban on oil in Hungary and Slovakia until the end of 2024, in the Czech Republic – until June 2024. The rest of the member states will gradually stop importing by the end of this year, as was primarily proposed.
