Losses of Ukrainian retailers due to the war are estimated at being at least UAH 50 billion
On average it is approximately 30,475 UAH per one square meter of damaged retail outlets, or 17.4 million UAH per one damaged store

What happened? Due to russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, national retailers have suffered direct losses of at least UAH 50.7 billion.

Details. It is noted that the total amount of direct losses of the trade sector is estimated at UAH 50.7 billion (on average UAH 30,475 per one square meter of damaged retail outlets, or UAH 17.4 million per one damaged store).
According to the study, out of UAH 50.7 billion of losses, 41% are damages to buildings, shops, engineering networks, decoration, etc. Losses on inventory balances in stores (assessed at the purchase price) and equipment losses amounted to 17% each, losses of goods in warehouses – 14%, losses to warehouse, industrial, office buildings / premises and equipment in them (owned by companies) amounted to 9%, another 2% are other losses.
The general population of the study consisted of 295 network retail companies in Ukraine, represented by 28,549 stores and a retail area of 15.4 million square meters. m. In particular, the study includes small companies with 3 to 20 outlets (such 43%), medium-sized companies (21-50 outlets) – 25% and large chains with more than 50 outlets (32%).
