Details. The works continue in Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Donetsk, Poltava, and Rivne oblasts. In the near future, Volyn, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts will join them.
The largest number of unemployed people are currently involved in Sumy Oblast – 519 people, as well as in Kyiv Oblast – 311 people, and Poltava Oblast – 177 people. The state has already transferred 6.2 million UAH to employees for the performance of community service.
It is noted that the types of community service depend on the needs of a particular oblast. Most often people are involved in: strengthening dams, cleaning the coast near water bodies and rivers, unloading humanitarian aid, arranging basements for shelter, etc.
“It should be recalled that participation in community service by the unemployed is voluntary and paid at a level not lower than the minimum salary, which is currently UAH 6700. In addition, the salaries for the performance of such works may be financed from regional budgets,” the Ministry of Economy informed.
