Details. According to the report, as of 11:00 on November 30, electricity producers cover 73% of electricity consumption in Ukraine.
All distribution system operators (oblast power distribution companies) were informed about the limits of electricity consumption for each oblast. Exceeding the consumption limits leads to the need for emergency shutdowns to avoid grid overload and ensure balance in the power system.
“Schedules of outages are set and directly applied by oblast power distribution companies. At the same time, restrictions should be applied evenly between consumers,” the message reminds.
Ukrenergo notes that the overall deficit in the power system is the result of seven waves of russian missile strikes on the country's energy infrastructure.
“The efficient use of electricity will allow us to apply less restrictions aimed at preventing accidents, and will also make it possible for power engineers to focus on repairs of damaged facilities, which are becoming more complicated with each subsequent missile attack,” the company stresses.
