Ukrenergo: emergency power cuts were introduced in five oblasts due to exceeded consumption limits

Details. "The deficit in the power system has increased significantly. This is caused by a decrease in electricity production due to missile attacks on power plants. In addition, this is compounded by the increase in consumption associated with the beginning of the working week," the statement reads.

The oblast power distribution companies were informed about the reduced consumption limits for the whole day. Due to their excess, emergency power cuts have been introduced in four oblasts of Ukraine since 9 a.m. and in five oblasts since 10 a.m. Emergency power outages may also be introduced in other regions.

It is noted that the situation is complicated by weather conditions (gusty winds, icing of wires), in the central region, there are outages due to damage to electricity distribution grids.
