Details. The investigation has established that on February 15 last year, the MPs supported a resolution to appeal to the President of the russian federation to recognise the "independence" of the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
In addition, on February 22, officials voted to ratify the "treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance" between the aggressor country and the terrorist organisations of the L/DPR. Thus, they contributed to the implementation of the kremlin's plan to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The defendants were notified of suspicion under the article on encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine. The SBU notes that the investigation has already been completed. The MPs face up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
