Source. This was discussed during a joint meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Defence, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, domestic developers and manufacturers of UAVs, the press service of the Ministry of Defence reports.
Details. The Defence Ministry is deepening its cooperation with Ukrainian UAV developers and manufacturers. In particular, 16 state contracts have recently been concluded with domestic manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles, the report says.
In addition, it is pointed out that due to the reforms in Ukraine, the procedure for authorising UAVs for use in the army is now the simplest in Europe.
The authorisation procedure used to take one and a half to two years, but now it takes a matter of weeks. Thanks to the changes, implemented during the period from November 2022 to January 2023, the Ministry of Defence received 75 applications for UAVs of various types from Ukrainian manufacturers.
13 of them have already been codified and technical specifications approved. Another 3 types of UAVs are at the stage of codification.
