There will be no restrictions at all on one day during a two-week period in each oblast

What happened? Starting from February 8, consumption limits will be changed throughout Ukraine: there will be no restrictions on one day during a two-week period in each oblast, and on other days there may be changes in the usual outage schedules.

Details. It is noted that this is necessary in order to measure actual consumption in each oblast.
In turn, consumption restrictions will be completely lifted in each region for one day. Since the power system is experiencing a power shortage caused by russian attacks, simultaneously in areas where no measurements are made on a particular day, consumption limits may be slightly reduced.
The company assured that power engineers will "do their best" to ensure that consumers do not experience additional discomfort due to the measurements.
"Thanks to this, we will be able to see how consumers behave when they have constant access to electricity. Such a study, called a mode measurement, allows us to determine exactly how much each oblast consumes now under the condition of normal operation of the power system. Such measurements will make it possible to take into account the relocation of enterprises, migration of the population, and actual changes in the overall level and structure of consumption when setting limits," Ukrenergo explains.
The results obtained, which will take into account changes in the number of population and the location of enterprises, will allow the NPC to adjust the volume of limits for each oblast and ensure a more even distribution of the available capacity in the system across the regions.
