Details. The increase in the minimum tonnage of grain carriers, according to the Coordination Council, will reduce downtime and increase exports. It is expected that the new rules will have the effect of increasing shipments in a month and a half. In addition, it is proposed to leave unchanged the quota mechanism for forming a queue for inspections.
According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, due to the slowdown in inspections of ships in the Bosphorus that are heading to Ukraine under the grain deal, a queue of 108 ships formed as of February 9. It is worth noting that among the inspectors are representatives of the occupying state of russia.
It is specified that a total of 177 vessels have been declared by operators and transferred to the coordination centre. The inspection checks about 2.5 vessels per day. Earlier, the ministry noted that for continuous movement along the "grain corridor", inspectors must inspect at least 12 vessels per day.
