What happened? A queue of 140 ships has formed in the Bosphorus due to the delay of inspections by russians.

Details. It is noted that russian inspectors deliberately slow down the timing of inspections, regularly demand unregulated documentation, refuse to work during business hours, and look for other unreasonable excuses to stop inspections.
Every day, less than half of the 10 inspections planned are usually carried out. Thus, most of the crews currently in line have been waiting for permission to cross the strait for over a month.
According to the agency, the world has lost 10 million tonnes of Ukrainian foodstuffs in recent months when russia began deliberately delaying inspections. The food security of countries that depend on the export of Ukrainian agricultural products is at risk.
"By destroying Ukraine's port infrastructure, creating security threats to Ukraine's southern regions from the Black Sea and obstructing the Black Sea grain corridor, moscow is taking advantage of the opportunity for unimpeded commercial shipping from russian Black Sea ports," the Ministry of Infrastructure explains.
According to the statement, the volume of transportation through russian seaports in the Azov-Black Sea basin in 2022 amounted to more than 250 million tonnes, which exceeded the figures for 2021. At the same time, there are no inspections of these vessels in the Bosphorus. This makes it possible for russia to use merchant ships to receive military cargo to continue its war against Ukraine.
Previously. The Coordination Council proposed to increase the minimum tonnage of ships for grain and oil. It was pointed out that the new rules would reduce the time they spend in the Bosphorus.0
