Source. Andriy Yusov, representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
Details. "The situation in the east. We are now seeing an extreme escalation, serious events in the east, of course, around Bakhmut, and other directions, in particular in Vuhledar. In fact, nothing has changed, there are desperate attempts to occupy Ukraine's Donbas by the end of March," Mr. Yusov said on the air of the national TV marathon.
According to him, "Ukrainian Donbas is holding on, in particular Bakhmut, although it is difficult for the soldiers."
The DIU representative added that russia had a significant mobilisation reserve: "Yes, they are often poorly armed and poorly trained, but there are many of them. But this does not stop the Ukrainian defence forces. There are appropriate plans and mechanisms for responding to all challenges."
