Ukrnafta reduced oil and condensate production by 8.6% last year
The company maintains the volumes produced and expects to start exporting its products as soon as possible

In 2022, Ukrnafta reduced oil and condensate production by 8.6% compared to 2021, to 1.37 million tonnes.
This was announced by Serhiy Koretsky, CEO of the company in an interview with Business Censor.
According to him, the company is currently maintaining its production volumes and expects to start exporting or processing its products under the tolling scheme abroad as soon as possible.
Mr. Koretsky clarifies that the company is selling natural gas reserves in underground storage facilities at the auction, while Ukrnafta's current production is transferred to Naftogaz of Ukraine under a previously concluded agreement.
"We sell the remaining oil from the underground storage facilities. There are auctions as well as end-user tenders, and we go there and fight to win. We supplied all the new gas produced in December, January, and February to Naftogaz under the 2020 agreement. There was a progressive scale of gas return: first 20%, 50%, etc. Now and at the time of repayment of the debt to Naftogaz, we plan to transfer the entire volume of gas produced," he says.
Moreover, the Ukrnafta CEO says that in 2023, in addition to production stimulation, the company plans to drill three new wells and carry out preparatory work for drilling at least eight in 2024.
"This is a lot, since in recent years Ukrnafta has been drilling one well a year at best. There are things that we will not be able to do ourselves due to lack of funds and equipment. Or maybe in terms of risk distribution in this difficult period. And we will offer this to potential partners," says Mr. Koretskyi.
According to him, both European and Ukrainian companies can become potential investors and partners of the company, with whom the company has started the relevant negotiations.
