"Ban" to power for 10 years for pro-russian politicians – bill in the Verkhovna Rada
The bill to ban members of pro-russian parties from running in elections

MPs Halyna Yanchenko, Yaroslav Zhelezniak, Yehor Chernev, and others have registered a bill No. 908,1 in the parliament, which proposes to ban members of banned pro-russian parties from running in the elections.
This refers to people who were members of banned parties (Opposition Platform – For Life, Party of Shariy, Nashi, Volodymyr Saldo Bloc, etc.) at the time of the introduction of martial law in Ukraine. They will not be able to run for parliament or city/settlement councils for 10 years after martial law is terminated/lifted. "This period will allow us to complete the reconstruction of the country and form a system to counter threats to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as violent changes to the constitutional order by Ukrainian citizens through participation in political parties," the explanatory note says.
During the registration process, candidates for the position of village, town, or city mayor will be required to submit to the commission a statement that at the time of the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, he/she was not a member of the Ukrainian Parliament, a member of a local council, or a village, town, or city mayor elected from a party whose activities are currently prohibited. At the same time, the Central Election Commission should compile and publish a list of MPs who were members of pro-russian parties during the full-scale invasion.
