SBU exposes attempts of russian special services to collect intelligence in Ukraine under the guise of foreign media
SBU urges to immediately report facts of suspicious "requests" from unidentified individuals

SBU cyber specialists have recorded numerous attempts by russian special services to obtain intelligence in Ukraine under the guise of foreign media representatives.
This was reported by the SBU press service.
According to the report, the enemy uses specialised Internet platforms and professional online forums of Ukrainian journalists to collect classified information. On these resources, the occupiers post information requests allegedly from employees of well-known foreign media.
"In their messages, they address media professionals and other members of specialised groups to obtain materials allegedly for the preparation of 'stories' or 'documentaries' about the war in Ukraine.
First and foremost, the enemy is interested in information about the results of russian missile strikes on Ukrainian cities, in particular the locations of hits and their consequences," the statement says.
It is noted that in the case of providing relevant media files or text messages, the authors of the "ads" promise a "fee". The aggressor needs the information obtained in this way to adjust repeated air attacks on Ukrainian targets.
The Security Service is currently warning the public about such attempts of hostile intelligence and subversive activities and is taking comprehensive measures to bring the perpetrators to justice.
In addition, the SBU calls on citizens to be vigilant and immediately report to law enforcement officers any suspicious "requests" from unidentified individuals.
