In 2022, Ukraine ranked third in the world in terms of the number of imported weapons
The United States provided the largest amount of weapons to Ukraine

After the Russian invasion, Ukraine ranked third in the world among arms importers in 2022. Only Qatar and India import more weapons than Ukraine today. Moreover, while these two states buy weapons, other countries, primarily Western ones, give them to Kyiv for free as military aid.
Source. This is stated in a report published by the SIPRI research institute, cited by Radio Liberty.
Among the 29 countries that sent various types of weapons to Ukraine in 2022, the United States is in the lead, accounting for 35% of all Ukrainian arms imports during the year.
This is followed by Poland (17%), Germany (11%), the United Kingdom (10%), and the Czech Republic (4.4%).
SIPRI's materials mention, for example, 228 artillery pieces and about 5,000 ATGMs from the United States, 280 tanks from Poland, and more than 7,000 anti-tank missiles from the United Kingdom.
At the same time, due to fears that the supply of combat aircraft and ballistic missiles could "lead to further escalation of the war," NATO countries rejected Ukraine's requests for fighter jets in 2022.
At the same time, they supplied missiles and fighter jets to other states involved in conflicts, particularly in the Middle East and South Asia. This was emphasized by Peter D. Weseman, Senior Fellow at SIPRI's Arms Transfers Program.
Background. As reported, Finland will consider providing Ukraine with Hornet fighter jets.
