NATO considers deploying around 300,000 troops on the border with russia – media
Alliance intends to stop russia if it decides to expand the war beyond Ukraine

NATO plans to reinforce its eastern border with russia over the next few months by deploying around 300,000 troops.
This was reported by Politico.
The publication writes that NATO intends to stop russia if it decides to expand the war beyond Ukraine.
This will require 30 NATO member-states to coordinate and make great efforts to prepare soldiers, training facilities, large quantities of weapons, equipment, and ammunition.
It is noted that amid concerns about the size of some countries' own weapons stockpiles, as well as Ukraine's urgent need for more ammunition, there is a risk that not all NATO allies will contribute to the alliance's new plans to strengthen its eastern edge.
Politico writes that NATO military leaders are to submit updated regional defence plans. The first echelon of NATO troops could consist of about 100,000 soldiers, ready to deploy within 10 days. It could include troops from Poland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
A second echelon of troops would support these soldiers, ready to deploy within 10-30 days.
