Jack Teixeira, a suspect in the leak of classified US intelligence documents, has been arrested.

The New York Times quoted an FBI statement saying that the arrest was made in the town of North Dayton, Massachusetts.
The statement did not name the suspect, but several leading American media outlets reported throughout the day, citing law enforcement, that the suspect was 21-year-old Massachusetts National Guard member Jack Teixeira.
Reuters reports that U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland will make an official statement on the matter in the near future.
The US Attorney General Merrick Garland confirmed the arrest of Jack Teixeira and said that he would appear before the US District Court in Massachusetts.
The date of the court hearing is still unknown.
