Zelensky imposes sanctions against russian athletes and IT holdings

Ukraine imposes new sanctions against russia. The new sanctions list includes 351 individuals and 254 legal entities from russia and other countries.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed the relevant decrees enacting the National Security and Defense Council's decision on April 15.
Among the companies sanctioned are russian Yandex, Rambler, and other IT companies.
The list of individuals sanctioned includes 82 people related to sports, including Olympic champions.
According to Zokerm, the list includes the names of former russian national football team goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, figure skater Ilya Averbukh, and gymnast Svetlana Khorkina.
The sanctions list also includes figure skater Alexander Gallamov, tennis player Anastasia Hasanova, track and field athlete Yulia Gushchina, gymnast Artur Dalaloyan, weightlifter Mikhail Koklyaev, swimmer Anton Chupkov, gymnast Victoria Listunova, skier Veronika Stepanova, hockey player Alexander Kozhevnikov, hockey player Alexander Kozhevnikov, hockey player Alexander Kozhevnikov.
In addition, the sanctions list includes the daughter of the russian Defense Minister Ksenia Shoigu, who is the president of the russian Triathlon Federation, as well as the Minister of Sports and Tourism of Belarus, Sergei Kovalchuk.
The sanctions were imposed for different periods – 5, 10 and 50 years.
Background. As a reminder, Zelensky imposed sanctions on former Motor Sich CEO Bohuslaev and more than 230 russians.
