Zelensky imposes sanctions on ex-director of Motor Sich Bohuslayev and more than 230 russians
In particular, sanctions were imposed against the director of Nord Stream Matthias Warnig

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has imposed sanctions against former Motor Sich CEO Vyacheslav Bohuslayev, who is suspected of selling aircraft engines to russia.
The relevant decree was published on the President's website on 1 April. In addition to Mr. Bohuslayev, the sanctions list includes several Ukrainians and more than 230 other russians.
According to the decree of the President of Ukraine, not only individuals but also a number of organisations were sanctioned along with Vyacheslav Bohuslayev. These include 154 companies from russia and one from the currently occupied Melitopol. Sanctions also were imposed on the russian Ministry of Finance and the Council of the federation of the Federal Assembly of russia.
Besides, sanctions were imposed on the executive director of Nord Stream Matthias Warnig.
The list also includes Viktor Zubkov, a former prime minister who served as putin's first deputy when he was prime minister from 12 May 2008 to 21 May 2012. He is now the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom.
Another prominent russian businessman and politician, Boris Titov, was sanctioned as well.
These sanctions will remain in force for 10 years.
Background. As a reminder, the SBU detained Vyacheslav Bohuslayev on 22 October 2022. He is charged with collaboration and assistance to the aggressor country. The former Motor Sich CEO has been in custody without bail since 24 October.
According to the investigation, Motor Sich sold aircraft engines for russian military helicopters after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022. Motor Sich engines were found in downed russian helicopters.
