russia blocks Grain Initiative again – Ministry of Reintegration
Ukrainian agriproducts export through the 'grain corridor' in April didn't even reach 3 million tonnes

On 8 May, russia once again halted the Grain Initiative, refusing to register vessels for entry and carry out inspections.
This was reported by the Ministry of Reintegration.
"russia's destructive policy makes it impossible to create an inspection plan in accordance with the procedures of the Joint Coordination Centre (JCC), which involves daily agreement on the inspection plan for both entry and exit by all parties," the statement said.
The Ministry of Reintegration emphasised that such an approach contradicted the terms of the current agreement.
According to the report, 90 vessels are waiting for inspection in Turkish territorial waters, 62 of which are vessels going for loading. Inspections for both inbound and outbound fleets have been halted. Ukrainian agriproducts export through the 'grain corridor' in April did not even reach 3 million tonnes.
"Ukraine categorically does not accept russia's attempts to stop the registration and inspection of the inbound fleet, which should take place in accordance with the functioning initiative," the ministry stressed and added that it was awaiting the positions of its partners, the UN and Turkey.
Background. Recall that in April, russia once again blocked inspections of ships with Ukrainian grain in the Bosporus.
