US assesses the extent of damage to Patriot system after Russian missile attack
Americans are trying to determine whether the system can be repaired on site by Ukrainian specialists

The US Patriot anti-aircraft missile system was most likely damaged but not destroyed by Russian missile fire on Kyiv on Tuesday night.
Source. This was reported by an American official to CNN.
According to him, the United States is still assessing the extent of the damage and is trying to determine whether it is possible to repair the system on site by Ukrainian specialists.
The Russian Defense Ministry earlier said that "a high-precision strike by the Kinzhal hypersonic missile system in Kyiv hit a US-made Patriot anti-aircraft missile system."
Ukrainian officials said they had successfully intercepted all six hypersonic missiles fired by the Russians, but declined to comment on the Patriot system being hit.
"Let's leave it without comment. We will not comment on Russian sources," said Yuriy Ihnat, press attaché of the Ukrainian Air Force, at a briefing.
Background. As reported, Russia spent almost $128 million for a night attack on Ukraine – half of this amount is made up of 6 hypersonic "Kinzhal".
