Spain will provide Ukrainian border guards with a mobile hospital and vehicles with medical equipment, including armored vehicles that can evacuate the wounded from the battlefield.

Source. Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said this at a video meeting with the leadership of the Ukrainian border guard, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reports.

SBGS medics are currently at the Spanish air base in Zaragoza, where they are learning how to deploy a mobile hospital and use its equipment.

The Spanish Minister of Defense and Director of the Santa Clara Convent Foundation, Sister Lucia Caram Padilla, recently visited the Air Force base in Zaragoza, where the State Border Guard Service medical staff is learning how to deploy and operate a mobile hospital.

The hospital will soon be brought to Ukraine, the statement said.

The participants of the meeting emphasized that Ukrainian soldiers today are defending not only the independence of our country, but also the values of the free world and are standing up for the entire European community.

The Spanish side assured that it will continue to support Ukraine, in particular the border guards who are in active combat zones and under constant shelling on the border with the Russian Federation.

In addition to the mobile hospital, Ukrainian border guards will receive armored medical vehicles that will allow them to evacuate the wounded from the war zone.

The SBGS did not specify how many ambulances will be transferred.
