China is ready to expand imports of quality products from Ukraine, according to a statement by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, cited by the BBC.
According to Deputy Minister Ling Ji, Beijing will also seek a feasibility study on trade liberalization.
China's imports from Ukraine totaled $4.36 billion in 2022, according to the UN COMTRADE database, which tracks international trade data.
China is Ukraine's key trading partner, accounting for 14.4% of its imports and 15.3% of its exports.
It is noted that China exports equipment, machinery, fuel and energy products, and chemicals to Ukraine, while importing food, metals, and some types of machinery and equipment.
