Five individuals have been informed of suspicions in this case: the former director and ex-head of the department of the polygraph combine, as well as an individual accomplice to the crime. Additionally, documents have been sent to Estonia to notify two citizens of that country – a director and a manager of an affiliated company – of their suspicions.
The scheme was operational from 2013 to 2016. It's known that from 2011 to 2016, the Polygraph Combine Ukraina was headed by Maksym Stepanov.
Background. It is worth noting that ex-Health Minister Stepanov is suspected of embezzling money from Polygraph Combine Ukraina. Furthermore, the former director of the combine disguised the sale of 45% of his shares in the enterprise, which according to NABU, wasn't actually operational, to another affiliated company for $1.35 million. After declaring it, he transferred $150,000 to the accounts of close associates.
