Stoltenberg: Ukraine will become a NATO member after the war, subject to successful reforms
At the NATO-Ukraine meeting, recommendations for reforms that will help Ukraine become a full member of the alliance will be agreed upon, he announced

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that Ukraine will become a NATO member after the war with Russia ends, provided it manages to implement the necessary reforms.
According to him, all NATO member states agree that Ukraine should become a member of the Alliance. At the NATO-Ukraine meeting, recommendations for reforms that will help Ukraine become a full member of the alliance will be agreed upon.
At the same time, Stoltenberg emphasized that full membership in the midst of war is impossible, despite the constant rapprochement between Ukraine and NATO.
He also added that this month Germany and the Netherlands pledged €10 billion to Ukraine, Romania opened a training center for Ukrainian pilots on F16s, and other countries, including the United States and Finland, are sending additional air defense funds to Ukraine to protect it from Russian attacks.
Stoltenberg also said that Sweden's upcoming accession to NATO would increase the security of the Alliance members and called on Turkey and Hungary to ratify the decision.
Background. As a reminder, NATO is calling for simplifying military logistics in Europe amid a possible conflict with Russia. According to experts, a "military Schengen" is needed – a free passage zone for military equipment.
