Taurus missile manufacturer is ready to teach the Ukrainian military how to use these missiles in practice
And the presence of the German military is not required for this, the company explained

MBDA Deutschland, which owns a 67% stake in Taurus Systems, the company that produces Taurus cruise missiles, has confirmed that its experts are ready to train the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the use of this type of weapon.
"We can train customers from countries that use Taurus missiles on how to handle this system. So our client, in this case Ukraine, will have all the technical skills to use and operate the Taurus missile on its own," said MBDA Deutschland Chairman Thomas Gottschild at the company's office in the Bavarian city of Schrobenhausen, DW reports.
"The sale of Taurus missiles to countries and the framework conditions for transferring them to countries is ultimately a political decision," he said.
At the same time, Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder, during a joint speech with Thomas Gottschild, called on the German government to agree on the supply of Taurus missiles to Ukraine.
"These weapons must be used," said the head of the Christian Social Union party. According to Söder, the transfer of these long-range cruise missiles to Kyiv is "a moral issue and is also in Germany's interest".
In Markus Söder's opinion, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz should stop obstructing the supply of Taurus to Ukraine, and the decision on the admissibility of such supplies should be made by the Bundestag.
Today, Germany is the second largest provider of military aid to Ukraine after the United States.
"So it cannot be argued that we will become a belligerent party if we supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine," the Bavarian prime minister said.
According to the manufacturer, Taurus cruise missiles have a range of 500 km. It is indicated that they are equipped with several navigation systems and are therefore accurate in hitting targets.
Aircraft manufacturer Airbus, the British company BAE Systems, and the Italian concern Leonardo own stakes in MBDA. Taurus Systems is a German subsidiary of MBDA. The Swedish defence concern SAAB Dynamics AB also owns a 33% stake in Taurus Systems.
Background. As a reminder, Defence Minister Boris Pistorius explained how the conversation between Bundeswehr officers about Taurus missiles was leaked.
