It is a joint supply of missiles and weapons to Ukraine

The governments of Poland and Germany are forming a coalition to supply armoured vehicles to Ukraine, the two countries' defence ministers have said.

Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosyniak-Kamysz and German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius met in Poland shortly after the meeting of the so-called Weimar Triangle (a regional group consisting of France, Germany and Poland).
The defence ministers said that the coalition's work on the supply of armoured vehicles will begin on 26 March and will be joined by other countries, including the UK, Sweden and Italy.
"This is one of the most important coalitions that have been created," Kosyniak-Kamysh told reporters.
Pistorius explained that the coalition's work is designed to ensure Ukraine's security in the future.
"We are talking about jointly providing Ukraine with missiles and weapons. On the one hand, we are doing this now, but on the other hand, it is part of an effort to create a new potential for the future, for the period that awaits Ukraine over the next few years," the German defence minister said.
He added that the creation of a coalition to supply armoured vehicles will be discussed on Tuesday at a regular meeting of the international group to provide Ukraine with arms (known as the Ramstein format).
Over the past two years, Berlin and Warsaw have sent numerous armoured vehicles to Ukraine's armed forces, including tanks and infantry fighting vehicles. However, during the unsuccessful summer counter-offensive, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost some of this equipment.
The defence ministers also announced that the two countries will take part in the creation of a rapid response military group designed to repel a possible attack on the European Union.
According to Pistorius and Kosyniak-Kamysh, starting in July, the Polish and German groups of troops, consisting of 2,500 soldiers from each country, will be ready to be deployed immediately if necessary.
Background. As a reminder, Macron, Scholz and Tusk agreed to buy weapons for Ukraine from the proceeds of Russia's frozen assets.
