Polish foreign minister proposes to create a military unit from Ukrainians who have moved to Poland
Sikorski believes that their training will be more helpful than sending instructors to Ukraine

Poland proposes to assemble and train a combat unit of Ukrainians living in Poland on its territory.
Source. This was stated on Friday by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, as quoted by the Polish news agency PAP.
‘Poland has considered Ukraine's request to train soldiers by Polish instructors, but we have concluded that it will be safer and more effective to train a Ukrainian unit from Ukrainians in Poland who are subject to conscription into the Ukrainian army. This will be a more effective way to help Ukraine,’ Sikorski said.
Radoslaw Sikorski, who was in Prague for a meeting of NATO foreign ministers, was answering journalists' questions about sending instructors to Ukraine.
The day before, Reuters reported, citing anonymous sources, that France may soon send military instructors to Ukraine.
Earlier, without going into any details, this was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, who signed a document providing for the deployment of foreign military instructors in Ukraine.
