Details. The Guardian cites some quotes from Johnson's forthcoming speech in front of the Ukrainian Parliament.
Recalling Britain’s resolve during the Second World War, the UK Prime Minister will say that “we remember our time of greatest peril as our finest hour”. He will say that the bravery demonstrated by those who have sought to defend their country from russian invaders means the war will come to be known as Ukraine’s “finest hour”, too.
“Your children and grandchildren will say that Ukrainians taught the world that the brute force of an aggressor counts for nothing against the moral force of a people determined to be free,” Johnson was quoted as saying.
The speech to Ukrainian deputies is a kind of response to President Volodymyr Zelensky, who delivered a historic speech at the House of Commons in March.
Johnson will be the first world leader to address the Verkhovna Rada since the beginning of russia's war in Ukraine.
