What happened? A special unit of the National Guard of Ukraine destroyed a russian Su-25 aircraft, and took up to a dozen russian occupiers prisoner near Kupyansk, Kharkiv Oblast.

Details. “Mortar crews of the special unit discovered and inflicted fire damage on a concentration of enemy equipment. Consequently, two Ural trucks, two BTR-82 armoured personnel carriers, an armoured fighting vehicle, and a fuel truck were destroyed. The deaths of ten russian occupiers have been confirmed,” the statement reads.
Guardsmen also carried out search and filtering operations in the town of Kupyansk, during which they took seven occupiers prisoner. In such a way, Ukrainian defenders replenished the so-called exchange fund.
Additionally, National Guardsmen captured two russian BTR-80 armoured personnel carriers in good condition, and “thanked” the occupiers' leadership for a kind of “targeted lend-lease“ for their unit.
