What happened? The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed enemy equipment with a total value of $673 million during the counteroffensive from September 6 to 11. A significant number was destroyed in Kharkiv Oblast.

Details. In total, defenders of Ukraine destroyed 590 pieces of russian equipment:

  • 86 tanks worth $133 million;
  • 6 airplanes worth $113 million;
  • 158 armored fighting vehicles (AFVs) worth $94 million;
  • 10 pieces of special equipment worth $90 million;
  • 106 artillery systems worth $85 million;
  • 7 helicopters worth $73 million;
  • 6 air defense systems worth $42 million;
  • 159 automotive vehicles worth $24 million;
  • 17 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRSs) worth $15 million;
  • 35 UAVs worth $4 million.

The most expensive among the losses of the russians was the Moskva-1 electronic warfare complex worth $57 million, which was destroyed in the Zaporizhzhia region. In Kharkiv Oblast, the Armed Forces of Ukraine downed a Su-34 fighter-bomber worth $36 million and a Zoopark-1M counter-battery radar system worth $25 million.

However, not all the equipment lost by the russians was destroyed. According to the analytical project Oryx, from September 6 to 10, the Ukrainian military captured 129 pieces of equipment. Forbes analysts estimate them at $104 million. In particular, we are talking about 9 howitzers Msta-S and Msta-B worth more than $43 million.
