The Kherson Oblast Prosecutor's Office has started an investigation into the murder of the conductor of the oblast philharmonic, Yuriy Kyrpatenko.

“According to the investigation, representatives of the aggressor country shot the conductor of the oblast philharmonic orchestra in his own home in the city of Kherson since he refused to cooperate with them. Before that, the occupiers tried to persuade the man to cooperate by threatening him. The deceased stopped contacting relatives in September of this year,” the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
The day before, journalist Olena Vanina reported that in Kherson the occupiers had killed the conductor of the Kherson Oblast Philharmonic for refusing to cooperate with them.
“They came to his house and shot him right there. It is difficult to find out more details, because everyone is afraid in Kherson, but the information is 100% reliable. I don't know, I would like all Ukraine to know about it. He was a very talented conductor, and especially an arranger,“ Olena Vanina wrote.
