What happened? Russians have suspended attacks with kamikaze drones, because unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) cannot withstand frost.
Source. Yevhen Sylkin, the Assistant Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for Strategic Communications during the national TV marathon, UNN reports.
Details. The spokesman explained that any aircrafts, in particular drones, are made of plastic and other materials that can not withstand severe cold.
“Currently, we have only training of the bombing operation, which moves, trains to refuel in the sky. And the drones, for now, have suspended their activities,” said Mr. Sylkin.
The representative of the Armed Forces added that Ukraine is currently receiving a sufficient number of air defence systems to counter missile attacks. At the same time, air defence is being improved and is ready to shoot down about 75-80% of targets.
