What happened? Energoatom NNEGC connected the eighth power unit to the grid after repair. Soon the company plans to connect the ninth one.

Details. The corresponding unit has not worked since December 10, and on the night of December 11, at about 02:43, it was reconnected to the grid. At the same time, specialists are completing the repair of another WWER-1000 power unit, which was damaged due to the attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure on November 23, 2022.
The NNEGC emphasises that all Ukrainian NPPs, except for the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP, are operating at full capacity. At the same time, ZNPP consumes about 100 MW of electricity for its own needs from the power system of Ukraine.
