Ship with Ukrainian corn ran aground in the Suez Canal on its way to China

What happened? The cargo ship MV Glory, which carries more than 65,000 tonnes of corn from Ukraine to China, ran aground in the Egyptian Suez Canal in the morning. Subsequently, the ship was refloated and the traffic in the canal resumed.

Details. Officials did not report the cause of the incident. However, it is known that on Sunday, part of Egypt, including its northern provinces, experienced bad weather.
The vessel suffered a technical failure, and the canal engaged four tugboats to help refloat it, after which traffic in the canal was restored. It is expected that 51 ships will pass through the waterway on Monday.
