More than 4% of players left the non-banking financial services market in December – NBU
63 market participants were excluded from the registers

What happened? In December, the number of non-banking financial market participants decreased from 1522 to 1459, 63 companies left the market. At the same time, the number of banks has not changed and is still 67.

Details. 30 financial companies, one insurer, three pawnshops, three credit unions, three leasing companies and two insurance brokers were voluntarily excluded from the registers. Another 16 financial companies, one insurer, one pawnshop, one credit union and two leasing companies – forcibly, the regulator said.
In total, as of December 31, 2022, there were 116 non-life insurers (that is, not related to life insurance), in November, there were 117 such companies; 12 life insurers (there were 13 such companies in November); 183 pawnshops (187 in November); 162 credit unions (166 in November); 98 leasing companies (103 in November); 760 financial companies (806 in November); 61 insurance brokers (63 in November) and 67 collection companies (the number has not changed).
