Russians plunge Melitopol into another information vacuum – Fedorov
Recently, the occupiers have stopped the work of the largest provider in the city, Mediana

What happened? Since the beginning of the occupation of Melitopol, russians have seized the networks of Ukrainian Internet providers. For almost a year, the Internet has been intermittent, and residents have been unable to fully receive information and contact their loved ones.
Source. Ivan Fedorov, Mayor of Melitopol.
Details. He said that 5 days ago, the occupiers stopped the work of the largest provider in Melitopol, Mediana, and once again caused an information blockade by disconnecting the home Internet.
"Melitopol residents tried to complain, but people under occupation have nowhere to turn for help... yesterday the occupiers opened the veil of silence: Mediana was transferred to the russian monopolist Mir Telecom. In order to use the Internet, residents have to renew their contract with the new provider within a month. In the best traditions of the "russian world", this can only be done with a passport," the statement says.
It is noted that today people are forced to stand in a long queue in the bitter cold from 6 a.m. to get access to information.
