According to him, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the number of cyberattacks in Ukraine has increased several times – since February 24, 2022, more than 4,500 cyberattacks have been recorded. In contrast, in 2020 there were 800 of them, and in 2021 – about 2,000.
"These are different types of the attacks, sometimes really massive, sometimes quite sophisticated. Currently russia provides on an average more than 10 cyberattacks daily… Their targets are different: state resources, critical infrastructure facilities, etc. But we are successfully countering the enemy in cyberspace as well," explained Mr. Maliuk.
The SBU Head added that some hacker attacks had been combined with missile strikes. These are attempts on energy, logistics, military facilities, as well as government databases and information resources.
