Government bans automatic licence renewal for gambling organisers during the war
Gambling businesses will have 30 days to pay the cost of licences

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended its resolution No. 314 dated March 18, 2022 on ensuring economic activity under martial law.
This was announced by Taras Melnychuk, representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada.
During the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the government decided that martial law benefits for business would not apply to gambling organisers. This means automatic extension of licences and permits for the duration of martial law and for three months from the date of its termination/cancellation.
The annual payments for licences in the field of organisation and conduct gambling activities for each year of the licence validity period, which were not paid before the date of entry into force of the mentioned amendments, must be paid within thirty days from the date of entry into force of this document. Its text has not yet been published.
As a reminder, last year, due to tax incentives, revenues from the gambling business amounted to only 53.6 million UAH in taxes.
